Got the Yips?

Whether it’s the chipping yips or the full swing yips the process by which you are afflicted is the same. The yips are not limited to golf but can be experienced by athletes of other sports.

Common symptoms of the yips can be described as a sudden jerking, uncontrollable twitches, shakes and rigidity. These symptoms can lead to poor performance causing anger, frustration, feelings of low self worth and doubt with intense anxiety.

Anxiety is another issue that can aggravate the yips, however, anxiety is not the cause.

There are many theories as to the cause of the yips, but there is one thing for certain…..it’s an inside job.

All yips are caused by unresolved emotional issues that cause a disruption in the body’s energy system. The energetic disruption shows up in the form of a yip. The unresolved emotional issues can be based on negative past performance traumas, childhood traumas or limiting beliefs that we picked up along the way. Our subconscious minds will serve up these little traumas and beliefs whenever our present desires or conscious thoughts are not congruent with what we hold true subconsciously. This cognitive inconsistency is what causes the energetic disruption in the body’s energy system. The result is the yips.

In short the yips are a triggered response to a disruption in the body’s energy system and can be treated easily with Reboot Tapping an enhanced form of Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT).
